When Rika finds out that Teppei has come back to Hinamizawa, she almost gives up. In the beginning of the arc, Rika feels like she has been blessed with this fragment. After all, it seems that her friends have all remembered past events in other fragments, and they've learned from them which can only be attributed to a miracle. Keiichi also shows Rika that he can change the way things are just by doing something simple, and tragedy is avoided when he gives the doll to Mion instead of Rena. She starts to make efforts to preventing the deaths of Takano and Tomitake as well, despite giving up on that long ago. So, when Teppei comes back, Rika's hope plummets and it's more painful than ever before.
The wiki stops at the point where Rika's friends (Keiichi, Mion, Rena, and Shion) all begin to rally in order to save Satoko. The police aren't doing anything about it, so they organize meetings with the child protective services department to get them to do something about it. They do this several times, getting more and more people to go to their meeting, and at one point getting almost the entire town to hold a protest outside of the building. This finally gets their attention, and they call Satoko, telling her all she needs to do is ask for help. They all try and fail to get her to do so, until Rika pleads with her and she finally does. Satoko is at last able to reunite with her friends and Rika has found a new hope and fire in her to battle against her fate. She learns that everyone has to work together to create a miracle.
The Watanagashi festival goes by, and Rika is in bright spirits. She goes back to her earlier attempt of preventing the deaths of Takano and Tomitake that night by warning them again, having Ooishi keep an eye on them, and having her friends do the same until the festival is over. Unfortunately, she can't prevent Tomitake's death, as it is revealed that Takano is behind it, injecting him with a needle containing the Hinamizawa Syndrome virus inside. It's also revealed that Takano's death is fake, in order to draw suspicion away from her while she carries out her plan of spreading Hinamizawa Syndrome throughout the village.
The next day, Rika finds out that Tomitake has died and Ooishi brings up the possibility of Takano having killed him and faking the records of the body claimed as hers. This comes as a huge surprise to Rika and she realizes that she's been appealing to the wrong person all these years. She had never thought of the possibility of Takano still being alive, but she still doesn't know who to really believe.
Later on, she confides in Keiichi and he tells her that she needs to keep fighting, and not to give up on achieving happiness. He also tells her that he'll be there when she's ready to seek out his help and she does so the next day, and soon all of her friends are by her side. She tells them everything--about Hinamizawa Syndrome, and that she's going to be killed. Afterwards, she decides to tell Ooishi everything after he reveals that the corpse that's supposed to be Takano's is fake, but before he can get to Rika he is killed.
With the knowledge that Takano and the Yamainu are her enemy, Rika and her friends resolve to fight them. When the Yamainu and Takano invade her home, Rika and Satoko manage to escape and just as they're cornered the rest of their friends come to their rescue. They manage to fight off several groups of Yamainu, and despite their success, Hanyuu still has no determination to fight fate.
It seems like they're so close to beating Rika's fate, but Keiichi gets shot. It's not much long after that the rest of them are caught, and they're shot as well, with Rika the only one left alive. She asks that Takano keep her awake as she dies so she can remember that she's her enemy.
The arc ends as Rika dies, with all of her friends by her side in spirit. They finally get Hanyuu to join the fight against Rika's fate, realizing that she was the missing piece that Rika needed.
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? No. But it is important to mention that Rika is the only one who can see Hanyuu! So she has some sort of a sixth sense, but it's more due to her strong connection to Hanyuu than it is anything else.
◎ Personality:
Rika has two sides—one side is cute and innocent, and is the side she shows most people; while her other side, her true personality, is cynical and somewhat cold. She only shows her true self, however, around Hanyuu or when the situation calls for it, often choosing to put up her innocent act around most people.
The act Rika puts on most of the time is one of a sweet little girl. She’s always there to comfort those who need it, she’s polite, fairly quiet, and almost always has a smile on her face. Rika also uses cute words such as “nipaa” and “mii” when she speaks, which she often uses to her advantage to get others to do what she wants. All of these things together make people fall in love with her instantly, and immediately want to protect her. Although Rika may act like a child, that doesn’t mean she holds no responsibilities. She is the head of the Furude family, and is also the shrine maiden for Oyashiro, the deity that guards the village. Not only is Rika responsible for representing her family, but she also represents Oyashiro, often being referred to as the deity’s reincarnation.
She may be young and cute, but Rika is still very intelligent. While she may not be loud spoken, everyone is willing to listen to what she has to say due to the importance of all of her words and the quality of any advice she may give. Due to her intelligence, Rika is also very mischievous and knows how to get what she wants. When she’s is about to lose a game during a club activity, she will act upset and cute, distracting anyone who may win, and giving her a chance to win the game herself. Rika may have an air of innocence about her due to her cute personality, but she is not innocent enough to refrain from any perverted jokes or comments she may make.
Her intelligence comes from the fact that she has lived for over one hundred years, due to the many timelines she’s been through. From all of her experience, Rika knows just what to say to others, and how to get out of tight situations. When asked by the detective Ooishi why she was seen in the forest after her performance after the festival when she was really telling Tomitake about his death later that night, Rika was able to come up with a lie on the spot so Ooishi would stop questioning her.
Rika’s true personality is extremely cynical. After many years of being surrounded by death and chaos, Rika has lost her positive outlook on life and she feels as if nothing will turn out well. She often hides the truth from those around her so as not to frighten her friends, and for fear that no one will believe her. Due to the continuous time loops she’s been put through, Rika’s mind has matured while her body has not. However, she does not often present this side of herself because she doesn’t want to worry other people by suddenly acting completely different from what they would expect. The only person Rika feels comfortable being her true self around is Hanyuu. Rika will show this side to others, however, when she is being completely serious or when she has decided that a fragment has become a dead-end and she begins to feel as if she's wasting her time. Her cynicism also causes her to have difficulty opening up to others; Rika has many secrets, and she hides them very well. If she can keep her friends from suffering from the knowledge she’s gained from repeating time and the reality that is her true self, she will do all she can to keep it from them. Due to this, for a long time, she was unwilling to tell her friends what was really going on, as she thought they would not believe her—another thing she struggles with.
She’s also much more mature and serious, dropping the cute phrases she normally uses and rarely smiling. While this side of Rika is also sly, she is much more obvious about it and crueler in her intentions. She often drinks alcohol and eat spicy foods when she is upset with Hanyuu just to fluster her, taking advantage of the fact that their senses are connected and that Hanyuu hates the taste of both. However, the alcohol also numbs her to the pain of reliving the same fate over and over while seeing her friends become unraveled and tear each other apart. Over the years, she's made a habit of drinking at night when Satoko is asleep just so she doesn't have to worry about her fate if only for a little while.
Rika’s true self is also much more outspoken than the side she presents to other people. She is also no longer polite, and will not hesitate to be cruel to others, especially when it comes to defending her friends. Before Minagoroshi-hen, she also believes that no matter which Hinamizawa she ends up in, it would end up being a dead end. So, she would wait for her death, being bored by everything that happens, since she has been through all of it many times before, with the exception of the club meetings that have always remained unpredictable. However, things began to change when Rika came across a world where her friends seemed to remember the past dead-end worlds.
Due to this, her friends were able to avoid their mistakes and they became set upon fixing things before they ended badly. Rika finally began to have hope—something she hadn’t had in many years. She began to believe that her fate could be defeated as she slowly began to let go of that tightly held on cynicism and made room for hope. While her cynicism has begun to finally fade, in the end, that world ended up being only a dead-end. Still, Rika has retained her hope from this last fragment, growing from it and regaining her determination to finally reach a good ending and living past June.
◎ Powers/Abilities:
Rika herself possesses no power but she is able to retain the memories she has of each fragment that she's spent time in. So, despite being physically between 10-12 years old, she has memories of over 100 years.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory:
-an extra set of clothes (her school uniform)
CEREALIA-Specific
◎ Element:

She also craves change in her life, and changing her fate is the sole reason why she is reborn in alternate timelines.
◎ Sense:
Sight. She is the only one who can really see what is going on with her friends, and Rika is the only one who can see Hanyuu. Due to this, sight is the most important sense to Rika. Without it, she wouldn't know the truth behind the mysterious events in Hinamizawa.
